The Power of Attitude, Friendship, and Teamwork: Lessons from a Half Marathon in NYC!
Crossing the finish line of a half marathon in New York City is an experience unlike any other. The pounding of thousands of determined footsteps, the cheers from complete strangers, and the sense of unity in diversity all remind us that running is more than just a sport—it’s a reflection of communication and life.

As I completed this challenge, I couldn’t help but reflect on the core values that carried me through those 13.1 miles: attitude, perseverance, friendship, and teamwork. These same principles are at the heart of Attitudeable, my podcast, and they guide us in both personal and professional growth.
The Right Attitude Changes Everything
In any challenge—whether it’s a race, a career milestone, or a life goal—attitude is the secret ingredient. From the very first mile, I reminded myself that finishing strong was a matter of mindset. Even when fatigue set in, I focused on staying positive, keeping my pace, and believing in my ability to push forward.
Attitude is contagious. During the race, I saw runners uplifting each other with words of encouragement, high-fives, and even a shared laugh. Just like in life, our energy influences those around us. A resilient and optimistic attitude can turn obstacles into opportunities, in running and beyond :))))

The Strength of Friendship
This half marathon wasn’t just about individual achievement; it was about the people who ran alongside me. Friends who trained together, supported one another, and celebrated each other’s victories made all the difference. We reminded each other why we started, and that motivation fueled us when our legs felt heavy.
Friendship, much like a good training partner, pushes us to be our best selves. Whether in business, personal endeavors, or creative projects like Attitudeable, surrounding ourselves with the right people is essential. When we have a strong support system, we go further than we ever could alone. Vero, a dear friend from University invited me to this crazy endeavor, and with a team of expert runners, the best coach and new friends, we did it sooo well!!

Teamwork Makes the Impossible Possible
Even though running can seem like an individual sport, every runner in that race was part of a greater team—the collective spirit of the event. Volunteers handed out water, fellow runners shared words of encouragement, and spectators cheered with genuine enthusiasm. This teamwork element made the difference between a difficult race and an unforgettable experience.
Teamwork isn’t just about the people directly involved; it’s about the shared energy, vision, and effort that uplift everyone. In translation, podcasting, and business, collaboration is what turns good ideas into great realities. No success is truly solitary—we achieve more when we work together.
The Finish Line Is Just the Beginning
Completing the NYC half marathon was an incredible achievement, but the true victory was in the journey—every step, every challenge, and every moment shared with others. It reinforced my belief that attitude, friendship, and teamwork are not just principles for running, but for living a fulfilling and purpose-driven life.
At Attitudeable, we explore these values through conversations that inspire, challenge, and motivate. Whether you’re running a race, starting a new project, or navigating life’s ups and downs, remember: your attitude shapes your path, your friendships fuel your journey, and your team makes the impossible possible.
